Simple Business Outreach - FAQ

• The team must be able to print teaching materials and workbooks.
• The team should have at least 1 year experience working in the country or context where they plan to start an SBO program.

• Multiplication mindset (such as Training 4 Trainers)
• Ability to learn new technology

• Teachable / humble spirit
• Previous micro/small business experience OR a desire to learn about business and how to use it to fulfill the Great Commission 
• Entrepreneurial spirit is a plus but not mandatory

Training and coaching will be conducted in English, and therefore all team members must be fluent in English. However, once certified, the program can be translated as needed into approved languages to be used in your region. The translation project and related translation and video editing/production costs are the responsiblity of the Faciltiator Team/Organization. However, with AI technology this process is easier than ever and our team can help oversee production and approve all materials for use after translation in order to maintain quality standards. Please note that translated materials must be openly and freely shared by the Facilitator Team with Maju Global, allowing for permission of use by additional teams implementing the program in that language. 

1) Participation in the hybrid Simple Business Course (SBC), as pre-requisite for the in-person live training held in Bali. This includes:

Over 10 hours of pre-recorded SBC lessons covering the following topics: God’s perspective on business, Godly business management, Kingdom business principles, reasons for business failure and success, wise decision making, choosing a good business idea, customer driven business, competition/competitive advantage, financial record keeping, profit and loss, budgeting, cash management, calculating costs,  reserve funds, marketing, leadership, and goal setting.

2) Participation in Five (5) days of live SBO Facilitator training – Bali, Indonesia, September 15 – 19th, 2025

3) Technology – External thumb drive with over 11 hours of video lessons, plus 1 projector/team based on SBO implementation

4) Complete SBO Curriculum: 1 printed copy and digital copies for reproduction

• All Facilitator Guides and Participant Guides for all 8 Simple Business Courses. 

5)  Teaching materials including: whiteboards, markers, and other relevant handouts (per team)

6)  Ongoing access to SBO program revisions and edits*

7)  Participation in continuing education opportunities*

8)  Access to the SBO Facilitator Network*

9) Participation in monthly SBO Facilitator Coaching Circles*

10)  One-on-one SBO Facilitator team coaching*

11)  Permission to facilitate SBO groups in your region*

12) The opportunity to upgrade to SBO Trainer certification with the option of training and certifying new SBO Facilitators within your organization, and possibly within your region. May provide income opportunities.

13) The opportunity to upgrade to SBO Coach certification with permission to sell the Simple Business Program and consulting services within your designated region. 

14) Lodging at a 3 start hotel for 5 nights (Team must pay for additional nights)

15) Lunches and snacks on training days; dinner on 1st evening

* Based on Team maintaining a current SBO License (post December 31st, 2026)

Team will be selected to receive a scholarship based on the following categories:

• UPG reach and impact 
• Recommendation
• Ministry and leadership reputation, history and impact
• Team Makeup: Number of team members, their work and ministry history, their skill set/experience
• Beneficiary demographics
• Ministry focus and implementation plan: We will consider the team’s current ministry focus, as well as the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of their preliminary implementation plan for the SBO program in their region.
• Ability for the team to financially maintain an active SBO license for ongoing program usage after December 31st, 2026 (through Maju scholarship, self payment, sponsorship, donation, grant or other) ***
